I am not sure what you see as the threat of RE bubble" The immediate bad scenario would be a rise in rates. Longer term it depends on how far this bubble takes us. Loss of income could become a real problem as well. I really don't know what will happen just ideas but like I said...bubbles rarely result in soft landings. RE:"Everyone needs a roof over their head and those that are employed now are the survivors of the cuts so they will have no problem paying the mortgage" To be honest, there is little affordable housing here now.
