no info on states, but guess 40 are in deep trouble
PA just withdrew two years ago from public highschool funding
therefore the cities and towns had to raise property taxes
my parents have a property in Pitt
their property tax rose 75% in a single year

PA is in ok shape from what I hear
they are pitching in $20M for a new PittPenguin arena

Harrisburg legislators are doing many unethical things now
they are double billing for lunches
sounds small, but symbolically very contemptuous
they get a perdiem for meals
but they go out for lunch, entertain constituents, entertain certain groups
and submit those bills also
they have an absurd 300 state legislators, unsure
their lunch bills are huge cost

the Philly welfare state net is huge expense
I dont have exact figures on the PA annual deficit
I will check when the opportunity arises
