From Tomorrow's Wall Street Journal: U.S. BUSINESS NEWS Dow Jones, Reuters SEC to Investigate Cheney's Former Firm, Will Take Enforcement Action If Needed Associated Press WASHINGTON -- The Securities and Exchange Commission will vigorously investigate Vice President Dick Cheney's former company and take enforcement action if needed, [emph. add.] the agency chairman said Sunday. Harvey Pitt also said it is up to President Bush to decide whether to release documents related to the decade-old SEC investigation of his sale of stock in his former oil company. When questioned, Pitt stated that the investigation will begin imediately as soon as Linux is adopted as a standard on the desktop.
