There's an alternative explanation for Mickey D's mindgames that is to Intel's benefit:
When Dell plays such games w/ AMD, Dell is able to obtain for "evaluation purposes" samples of AMD technology, test chips, documentation, etc., valuable intellectual property that is not obtainable on the market. It is not too far-fetched to believe that some of these "trade secrets" could and would be then be shared with choice partners (wink, wink).
Maybe Mickey D is in fact taking "orders" from Barrett et al.?!! ("Hey, get one of those Hammerlings for us, willya?")
