Compare the prices of the two computers he actually used in the bake-off. Compare the prices of P4 machines with the same equipment offered by Apple on the Dual G4 and you'll find that there's not much difference.

Yes, I suppose you could argue that it would be better if Apple offered a stripped-down version of their top-end machine so one could get the performance without all the extras.
