Don't be silly. I mentioned the range of machine costs.

Are people buying the "Sony Studio" in large numbers? No. The point is that an excellent Photoshop workstation can be bought for about half the price of the $2800-3000 dual-CPU Apple model. With essentially the same performance.

(And Firewire cards sell for $50, so adding this is no big deal, even if not already built in. And when it comes to graphics cards, the fast PCs have many more options than Apple offers. Cheaper, too.)

My point was that Apple needs to close this price-performance gap with faster CPUs, not building dual CPU solutions.

(BTW, a dual processor Pentium 4 machine will obviously smoke a dual G4 machine, making the same point another way.)
