Interesting comments on the bell on CNBC as Joe Kern asked the other "Tyler noise" - did President Bush's speech help or hurt the market? Answer - no answer. Yet, when the DOW was down 260 at the start of the speech and the market drifted lower - Tyler was the first to say "the market was not impressed" with the speech -same old thing. He was quick to criticize but when the market reversed then he had no response.
Not many days that you see a 400 point bounce in the DOW. I remember one in 97 I think when the bears kept beating the tune about overseas market detriments to the US and the market dropped 500 points near the open and reversed at 10:00, that was a capitulation day and start of a nice run that lasted perhaps 3 years.
