"Honesty, honor and integrity are trivial to quantify."

First mistake.
No wonder you've been fooled by this administration, and probably administrations before it.
You must think because the media says so, it must be true.
Well, that indeed is trivial.

"I will make assumptions about others as I wish them to make assumptions about me."

That's what the child-molesting priests said, just for one example of how this misuse of the "golden rule" goes terribly wrong. They said, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". I wouldn't be surprised if these priests had "thought leaps" they thought were completely logical.

Unfortunately, your worldview differs from most imo on a number of premises. I once believed systems theory could explain everything, and that's almost true. Where it fails spectacularly is in the definitions of non-engineering human words and concepts, which are detailed, subtle, and riven with vastly more implications than you can imagine from a programming POV. Unless, of course you get into discussion of meaning in AI and the politics of language from any of Noam Chomsky's early works. I'll bet however, considering his more recent views, you wouldn't want to see what the implications of your statements are, in any communication context beyond hard engineering issues.

Hard engineering of necessity is a vastly constricted subset of terms with extremely limited and unambiguous syntax. Therefore one can be highly successful without consideration of further meaning.

No wonder you fail to reach any human-scale conclusions, but view black-and-white any social, political, or economic issues.

The problem is that the "meaning" in terms is different for you than for most. You combine emotion-laden terms such as "sacred honor" with "honesty", yet would probably accept Oliver North and Singlaub's definitions, which others, including myself, consider otherwise, lying to Congress, secretly arrogating powers to themselves and their branch of service that belongs to the American people's representatives.

Even though they may have shown physical courage on rare occasions, their actions were clearly un-American, self-serving and outright treasonous, when looked at in the cold light of day.
