What are your thoughts on this?? The PPT Plunge Protection Team. The whole market is being manipulated right now to keep it from crashing. This isn't a bear market, its a crooks market. Shorts are being taken to the cleaners and longs are becoming bag holders. The government is focusing everyone's attention on cooking the books, but the gov's own actions are costing the average investor money. The XAU broke out, so did GFI and DROOY. Yet, by the end of the day, all the gold stocks were worse off. Gold is being manipulated in order to keep it down too. By the XAU not selling off right after it ran up, I figured smart money was moving it. But they may have sold gold stocks to buy NYSE stocks, since they tanked today. If the markets would have stayed open another 15 minutes, I do believe it would have closed in the green. This isn't a fair market by any means. Its getting to were you can't trust TA anymore. Plus this is options week and they'll pump all stocks up so options will expire worthless. Many people will get wiped out before the markets stop falling. The government keeps preaching recovery and CNBC keeps preaching "bottom" and people buy, only to see themselves upside down soon after. I really don't know what gold is going to do. Gold needs to trade over 322.25 to breakout. They ran gold down right before the markets closed. Next week should tell the tale about gold.
