Thanks, but problem is, the bible was written by men with personal agendas and then even that was altered as time went by to fit whatever the current objective was. Modern man does the same. Just take the history books taught in schools these days compared to what they were when we were kids. The Christian church came in power as a tool to control men and for no other reason. Even the early halos were stolen from the Roman Gods to make it more appealing to the peasants who were just trying to keep one step ahead of the current tryant on the rampage.
The whole idea of Christ being between God and man is the same old idea that the Jewish Priests had to keep themselves in power. Christ came to explain the true relationship but since that did not allow power to the Church then that was twisted and distorted until we have what we have now which is no different then what Christ came to do away with. Actually when you think about it, the eearly kings were brillant to use religon to control men. They could collect all the money then needed and since they made up the myth of hell they had a ready sentence for those who did not behave.
One other comment about the Bible and the distortions of men. Do you really thing that our Civilization started 3000 years ago?? We have been around for hundreds of thousands of years. Heck, the Pyramids are 10000 years old.

Now, I know this is an attack on your beliefs which you hold dear to you. I do not mean it as such. It is how I now believe after years of trying make myself believe the Christian Church and finally realizing the true purpose behind the early church. I have come to this through years of open hearted study of many things. This is what Christ actually meant when he said the Truth shall set you free.
