RE Dow chart for 70s. Note the only reference to technology is the Three Mile Island meltdown. Hope Twin Towers disaster does not presage a similar meltdown decade for tech. The difficulties of capital funding may suggest that the really good ideas like Cary's Flarion with its Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) may take some time to reach their market potential, not that they will be suppressable forever, in spite of the dominance of the MEN establishment (Motorola, Ericcson, and Nokia).
