Maybe the Democrats can bring Daley back down for the Reno race... That would be my worst nightmare. Watching Daley take the podium on election night in 2000 and declare that the election was "not over" scared the hell out of me. Having lived in the Chicago area all of my life, I know first hand that the Daley family has a minimal commitment to democracy. There were more confused voters in Illinois during the 2000 election than in Florida. Bill Daley is the brightest of the Daley clan and is a real street fighter. He is absolutely ruthless. Someone needs to drive a stake through his heart. He almost ran for governor in this year, though he ended taking the job of President with SBC Communications. Hopefully, he's cooking some books. He would have won the election; the Republican Party in Illinois is going to get incinerated. Thank you, George Ryan.
