Dear BWAC: Yes your ENTIRE home, so long as its your RESIDENCE and not a vacation home or something is protected. We have in this state what is known as HOMESTEAD LAW which is what protects it. Frankly, I think its a good law for the VAST MAJORITY of people BUT sadly some big time crooks have taken advantage of it such as this Sullivan character is about to do. At this point in time I think Fla. has one of the best laws for protecting a bankrupts assets but Banks and other financial institutions are attacking it. They use these extreme examples as fodder for their complaints. Personally, I have little pity for the Banks, they mail out these credit cards like giving candy to a baby, then HOLLER when they find the person is not capable of handling credit. Many younger people that I have seen have screwed up their lives by overextending themselves because the banks made it so easy for them to do. JDN
