LVLT shows a Fast E of 100MBPS of 1350 compared to 1000 by Cogent assuming the services are the same. A look at the bigger items shows the following: T3-Cogent $20,000-50,000 LVLT $1,980-9,675 OC3-Cogent $75,000-105,000 LVLT $4,500-28,675 I pulled the Cogent pricing from their website: cogentco.com Again without knowing all the details its hard to know if we are comparing apples to apples. The point is LVLT is very competitive (Their customer list backs that up). As far as reasons for buying the stock I will not give you any. You need to decide that for yourself by going over the SEC documents, trying to understand the industry etc. etc. You may well conclude that a short position would be in order. I will offer some advice. Do not not base any investment decision on what you read on this or any other stock board. Spend some time to do some research and feel free to share as others have done. If someone posts some compelling information positive or negative just confirm it for yourself. When I did my pricing comparisons I compared LVLT to ATT, Williams, Broadwing, Sprint & C&W but never looked at Cogent so I had to do a little more research. Some will post information and will provide backup (links etc.) so anyone can agree or disagree with their view. Beware of posters who make blanket statements about accounting etc. without providing any justification to back it up.
