*Chile Jumbo Hypermart Denies Wal-Mart Attempt At Buyout SANTIAGO (AP-Dow Jones)--Hipermercados Jumbo SA denied on Wednesday a news report that U.S. retailing giant Wal-Mart Stores Inc. may have made an offer to buy out the Chilean hypermarket operator. A spokesman for Jumbo said the report in Wednesday's issue of financial daily Estrategia 'isn't at all serious.' He denied that the company had even been in talks with Wal-Mart. A spokesman for the U.S. chain said he didn't have any information on a possible link with Jumbo. Jumbo operates three hypermarts in Chile and another seven in Argentina.
