The issue about the Pledge is the coercive or alienating influence on innocent children

I have ask you, X -- How is that "innocent children" of 5, or 7, or 10 years old -- get to be athiests or secularists?

Cannot the influence, nay, total control of their minds, wielded by their parents be considered coercive?

BTW, I was told that the daughter of the father who lodged the pledge complaint (her mother is Christian) led her class in saying the "under God" pledge yesterday, to make the point that her Dad is not representing her views.

And, yes (save your breath), her mother's influence may indeed be coercive, but at least this kid is not hearing just one point of view from her parents.

(BTW -- I am engaged in house stuff today and not able to participate fully in this discussion).
