Frankly, I think it is an absurd statement. And one with absolutely no evidence to support it. The best you can say is that the techniques that were used in the past to abuse the system have been addressed. And there isn't even any evidence to support that. We are talking about the basic integrity of the CEOs and CFOs. There has been nothing done to motivate any change. Is Bernie Ebbers in jail? Did he lose all of his money? What about the Enron folks? Arthur Andersen? The statement is wishful thinking at best and pure deception at worst.
