Briefing.com has been noting a stealth rally of with tech stocks moving up in the midst of continuing weakness among major large cap indexes:

10:48 ET Tech Sector experiences another stealth rally : The tech sector is again showing strength as blue chips languish. Strong groups include Comm ICs: VTSS (+9.2%), PMCS (+7%), AMCC (+2%); Software: VRSN (+9.4%), MANU (+8.5%), MERQ (+8%); Biotech: AMGN (+8.6%), IDPH (+7%), BGEN (+6%).

Strengthening among oversold tech companies while many of the elephants continue to fall may be an indication that the public is finally disgorging some of its index funds while some buyers are beginning to position themselves in smaller, oversold techs with bargain prices and higher growth potential for the next upswing. Since the media focuses so much on the indexes and the large companies in those indexes, it is easy to miss the rally occurring elsewhere.

My informal review suggests high relative strength among small and midcap biotechs while large pharma companies remain underwhelming.
