Ted, the reduction in workforce is in the same style as before. From the earnings release:

In the second half of 2002, the company expects to reduce its workforce by approximately 4,000 employees exclusive of acquisitions, primarily through attrition, voluntary separation programs and some targeted business disinvestments.

It's the return of the VSP. Some business groups might be cut and the workers "redeployed," but I doubt that comes as a surprise to anyone.

Looks like the Barrett speech today won't amount to much, except the obvious. Maybe he'll also formally announce the cancellation of the Free PC program. LOL!
