i keep hearing that HM did quite well in the depression years however i'm wondering how valid this is ? 1) how many gold stock alternatives were there ? 2) americans couldn't own gold but could own shares (not currently an issue) how did gold shares do during the LTCM situation ? anybody ? (er, in other words, Bob ? <g>)
