Hi Jack - Gas-X may be ok but I bought some Mylex (not 'MYLOX'). Unfortunately I am seeing some of the same management problems for MYLEX (symbol:MYLX) as we have had with Novell. Mylex's book value is about $4.80 and now sells for $8 (from a high of $20). Novell continues to have valuable capital assets and carries a book value around $4.50 and the latest price is $6.8125 a share (a six year low!).

I am trying to figure which one I should average down on (Ugh). The main difference with Mylex over Novell is that Mylex will have some new products in the channel Q1 1998. I believe CEO Schmidt has also promised some new products but which management can I trust more? Who will deliver the products as promissed?

In this market it looks as though you have to invest in momentum stocks that continue to announce positive earnings and have a very positive future.

Can you believe Microsoft today...up $8.00 at one point. MS will announce earnings Thursday.

Good luck with your investments.

EKS <Long and will be buying more Novl on any break below $6 1/2>
