I would hope that there will be a tremendous uproar and Congress will tell the Administration to take a long walk off a short pier.

Doesn't look like anybody's going to ask Congress. It looks like Ashcroft is pushing this one through without enabling legislation.

I wonder how conservatives would have reacted if Janet Reno had come up with something like this....
