...Uh,

Wily, I really don't think DD means much these days. ...But then we've been in "these days" at least since 93. In fact I am not at all sure that it has ever mattered. <H...>

As for royalties I suppose our take has been about right for 2500 wafers a month, considering that we're probably selling as many chips into meters now as Cubic is putting into Go Cards, ...or will soon be. But I have no idea how many 32Kb units you can get on a 8" wafer.

I have to think that your buy in last Qtr was more than justified and I suspect that on the 25th we'll find that their revenues for the first 6 months of '02 already exceed total revenues for all of '01. But I have no faith in the MoMo's being prepared to out bid each other to get a chunk of our 22 mil outstanding on the strength of our forward looking earnings.

If they were you'd think we'd begin to see it now based on Harvey's news (PA-8800 & Cub) of the past few days and this:

I have been rubbing my neck raw trying to figure out what they are waiting on and the only possibilities I can come up with is lack of faith in execution; lack of interest by pension fund and insurance companies due to the high risk; and the lack of being "blessed" by the Sacred Cows of the Fab Herd, i.e. INTC/MU.

As to the first, I see no reason to doubt Staunton & Co's ability to succeed any more than any semi sector business. Look at what's happening to MOT, or worse still Hynix. I don't know of any semiconductor business growing as fast as RMTR, ...although I am sure there must be at least 5. <g>

As to the "buy&hold for more than a Qtr." MoMo's I haven't a clue as to what will move their herd although a $5 sh price wouldn't hurt. And as for the Sacred Cows... well if TXN can make that patent Spot_Ram found fly, they will come to Pappa... and Momma <g> soon enough. <ggg>

I am just guessing mind. [You know how I hate numbers? Well you can double that for all this "materials" chemo business.] But I believe that this patent is the basis for TXN's belief that FRAM will be the low cost solution to the Nonvolatile Holy Grail. ...Hope they are correct. ...And hope they have something to report about it soon.
