"Most fundamentalist Christians see the re-establishment of the biblical kingdom of Israel as a pre-cursor to the second coming.."
You have to distinguish between "fundamentalist Christians" and "Zionist Christians"!
Fundamentalist Christians simply believe in the fundamental principles in the Gospels--salvation through faith in Christ, Incarnation, Crucifixion, Resurrection, Virgin Birth, inspiration of the scriptures, and that Christ fulfilled the prophets and the Law and established the New Covenant etc. These fundamental Christian doctrines are central to all authentic Christians.
In contrast to fundamental Christian doctrines we have the revisionist doctrines of the Christian Zionist heretics. This Christian Zionist cultists do NOT believe that: 1. The New Covenant was fully established by Jesus 2. The Law and the Prophets were fulfilled by Jesus 3. The Incarnation is one of the pivotal Christian doctrines in the identity of Jesus as the Messiah (Christian Zionist believe that the Jesus of Jewish Zionism will be a messiah that does not need to fulfill the Incarnation and Virgin Birth--the Christ of the Christian Zionist that will be recognized by the Zionist Jews will not fulfill Isaiah Virgin prophecy, will not fulfill the prophecies of the SON OF MAN--In other words, the SECOND JESUS of the Christian Zionists will not be Jesus of Nazareth who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a Virgin) 4. The Resurrection is a pivotal doctrine in the identity of Jesus as the Messiah. (the second Jesus that the Christian Zionists claim the Jews will accept will not have been born of a Virgin, will not have been Incarnated, and will not have Risen from the Dead. In other words, the Christians Zionism's NEW Jesus that the Zionist Jews will finally accept will not have been born of virgin, will not have been Incarnated, will not have been Crucified, and will not have been Risen from the dead.) The second Jesus of both Christian and Jewish Zionism will be the antichrist. |
