They discouraged any discourse and open discussions with Christians because they understand that their the talmduic Jewish theology and Zionist ideology cannot compete in a free market of ideas. The only way that Zionism and talmudic Judaism can have victory is by censorship and terrorism. Look at the Jewish-Communist revolution in Russia. The communist Jews used terrorism and murder to enforce their rule. Free discussion was totally forbidden. The first law that the Jewish Communist passed under their communist regime was a law making it a capital offense to discuss anything about the Jews. The Communist regime considered antisemitism the greatest of all crimes because the regime was controlled by Jews.
