Wrong. The Constitution protects them from legal actions, not my opinions. Read that quote again.

It doesn't protect them from my opinion that many profit in government service, at the expense of American lives and treasury. The current crew is in that category. The covert criminals in government for decades are in that category. They are able to escape prosecution through political ability to avoid answering questions.

If I ran for office, I would accept investigation and full disclosure of any appearances of conflict of interest, as the cost of clean political process.

Ross Perot just gave testimony last week, without hesitation. He's a disappointment for other reasons, but is a wealthy man who has the cojones to appear.

I'm fortunate to know many wealthy and honorable people. In fact most successful I know are honorable. But there appears to be a disproportionate number of "maelfactors of wealth" in the government-industrial complex.

I am suspicious of most in high levels of government and military, due to the culture of bribery and deceit that pervades Washington. It's like having ENRON's top executives throughout the Beltway. I'd happily vote to clear them all out, investigate the egregious, and jail the guilty.

Any that materially gain in or out of office and claim "public service" are candidates for investigation, IMO.
