layoffs, asymmetric wealth effect will hurt spending next /jw

Most of the layoffs have already happened and most spending is dependent on income not wealth. If it weren't so, we should have already seen a collapse in spending from the $7 trillion loss in stock market wealth.

Next, you will see demand grow due to the drop in the dollar. Then investment will pick up along with spending due to income growth from payroll additions. The recovery will keep growing for years to come and stock prices will mirror this.
