people totally overlook possibility of foreign TBond sales
round #1 foreign sales of stock (or no new buys)
round #2 foreign sales of bonds (and fewer new buys)
our federal debt is rising, just when it had become flat
hey Hans, wanna buy some TBonds with falling dollar???

also, gradual rise in prices from dollar effect on foreign imports
it will be gradual, with Asians absorbing losses initially
but not if & when the dollar continues down
you dont address this
in fact, you write as though the dollar effect has ONLY positive effects
if it was so positive in rising US$ envmt, why arent same factors working against us now?
e.g. falling stock market
I can think of a dozen declining dollar effects
the great majority of them are negative
remeber that this country depends on foreign debt funding

I dont have the debt level links, but will search
read such data several times
debts also came relative to income, which is the more relevant for corporations and households
corp debt and household debt versus GDP is meaningless
but federal debt is versus GDP
let me get back to you on that one
(sneaking in a post now & again at office)

check DowJonesUtility index... tell me why it is falling
