Jon: Re: The 40% is derived from 35% federal and something like a 8% state offset by 3% savings on federal for the state taxes paid (35% of 8% state tax rate). That sounds reasonable. However, I still think the percentages used are not that important, as the actual operating losses will be used when offsetting prior-year profits. Is that not correct? Adam (trying to learn more about corporate tax law)
