covered some home builder shorts this afternoon

in hopes that the home builders give a pop up here i covered about 1/3 of my home builder shorts early this afternoon. they have fallen quite a bit the past several weeks and tv keeps pumping them just like early 2000 for the nasdaq. there should be a pop up left in there somewhere.

if you did not see arthur segel on insana/cnbc at about 5:20 edt, it is worth finding the video tape. he has some commercial real estate biz in massachusetts and is a harvard lecturer. they tried to rah-rah him, and he gave them what seemed honest answers when he could have easily hyped his answers. basically he said commericial real estate has increasing vacancy rates and the rents are falling, but the prices of the real estate are up due to lots buyers of commerical real estate. hmmmmm. he also said he would not recommend housing real estate. he said it's been bid up a lot. i don't think segel will be invited back, and surely won't appear on kudlow & cramer.
