What a great collection of photographs that was. I'd seen many, maybe even most, of them before. But it was an overwhelming experience anyway. Great photography is certainly High Art. If it weren't late, I'd expand on that platitude, lol.

The photograph that most affected me was the one I'd seen reproduced the most times, oddly enough: the Lincoln funeral train. This time seemed different from every other time I'd seen that classic, often-reproduced photograph. And I've thought about that fact, and tried to think of why the picture was more... well, fraught, for me, this time, than it had ever been before. I felt emotional, not just interested. And I believe it might be because of 9/11.

Just thinking out loud.

I loved that show.
