If I Recall Correctly. Gore had the option to appeal the ruling and chose not to in the interests of continuity .The fact that he did so with great consternation and visible reluctance showed merely his despair at both winning and loosing an election at the same time, at the hands of possibly a less than neutral court. Not to mention that people were so sick of the whole affair that they would have let Pinocchio win by then,thus Mr. Gore's better judgement of and concern for the people's wishes prevailed. But hey, maybe Pinocchio did win after all! movieweb.com heh heh heh Regarding the media coverage , that influence could be interpreted in both ways.How many would have not voted or not voted for Gore if they knew he'd already won?
