Is it so far-fetched to think that 40% of the people who walk into the stores don't own a Mac? I didn't hear the interview, but according to the way you quoted him, he didn't say that 40% of the buyers in the Apple stores didn't own a Mac. Likewise, why is it not possible that "many" people bought Macs so they could have iPods? If a person were thinking about buying a computer, couldn't decide whether to get a Mac or a PC, and wanted an iPod, that person might well decide to get the Mac. Seems reasonable to me. Since you're not offering any data to contradict Mr. Jobs, you really don't have a leg to laugh on. - Allen
