An Affhan army is slowly being built, but in any case of the Taliban to retake Afghanistan they would have to defeat a number of the "regional governors", and I don't think 5,000 is enough to do that.

In all fairness, the Taliban wouldn't need to "defeat" the regional governors. They could capture the provinces in much the same way they did the first time round: BUY the regional governors. We are talking about Afghanistan, World Capital of Turncoats here...

The question is, how can the United States and its allies in the Afghan provisional government maintain favor amongst the key players, and the populace at large? From what I've been reading, we're starting to piss people off...
