OT: The stability of NT is due to Dave Cutler, who also was the key architect of DEC's VAX/VMS, a system that would stay online 24/365 without a single reboot and this over 20 years ago. Gates was fortunate to have hired him (and his key team members along with the IP he was working on at DEC...) I find it absolutely revolting that people think it should be "normal" that computers crash. But in SW development, there's never enough time to do anything right, but always plenty of time to do it over...
