Why do you favor the small-medium high-cost gold producers? I guess the answer must be leverage. Could you name a couple specifically that you like here?

I worked on the floor of the Comex and Sugar and Coffee Exchange in the early seventies and I remember very well what it was like to invest (speculate) in an era when financial assets were anathema and commodities were required inflation hedges. Blue Cross of California has just told me they are again raising rates (y/y now about 30%). Also see early warning signs on horizon in labor negotiations. But with the world choking on excess capacity, it's hard to imagine inflation taking off (though risk premiums are certainly rising). So what will it take for inflation to get going? And when? I tend to agree that the Fed will reinflate. But when? Let's talk scenarios and timetables please.
