Diatect Announces Major Purchase Order for Fire Ant Product; Order Expected to Have Significant Impact on Company's 2002 Financial Results
HEBER CITY, Utah, July 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Diatect International Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: DTCT - News) announced today a major purchase order for the company's Results(TM) Fire Ant Insect Control product from Lowe's Company's, Inc., the country's second largest home improvement retailer.
The company expects to begin shipping 58 truckloads of product next week to Lowe's distribution centers in Georgia, Texas and Louisiana for distribution to 200 retail outlets in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and Texas.
The company previously announced retail sales to Walgreen's, Lextron Inc.'s Southeast Division, Ace Hardware Corporation, True Value stores, Handy Hardware Wholesale, Inc. and Do It Best Corporation.
Diatect CEO Jay Downs said, "This initial order from Lowe's for 910,000 units, which is the largest order in the history of our company, will have a dramatic impact on our financial results this year. It underscores the widespread consumer need for non-toxic fire ant control product in the Southern United States."
