I like that you said you "accept" the facts. It is really a matter of belief based on evidence. When did you become a believer?

One doesn't "believe" "facts." Facts just are. You recognize their existence and you incorporate them in your thinking or you don't.

You can not prove innocence

In this kind of case, it would be hard. Typically it takes an alibi or proving an alternate theory of the crime. I can imagine scenarios that would be compelling for believing him innocent, though.

Earlier today I expressed such a belief with regards to the SEC Enforcement Division. And I told Bill that I understood how he could have such a belief in Bush's character. I, though, have no belief at all in any direction regarding what Bush did or didn't do. I simply don't have enough information to form such a belief.

Jewel, my only argument with Bill on this is his stubborn insistence that Bush has been declared innocent by the SEC. All he has to do is acknowledge that that isn't so and I'm off his case. You obviously know that it isn't so. Maybe you can explain it to him.
