Software design is a niche area now, just like the Apple computer. The recent fact the Apple finally will make a Win IPod proves it can't make it on design alone. I bet there were a lot of internal debates about releasing the IPOD to the Win market and I bet Jobs was strongly against it. But in the end common sense prevailed. Which also proves no matter how much you might hate Intel/ Msft you have to sell to where the real market is. Don
