Actually, Microsoft took nVidia to arbitration.

It looks as if Microsoft wants to get lower volumes at the higher volume price.


Its unclear to me what the initial discussion was re price................ and I bet it was unclear to NVDA as well. I suspect the details were vague at the time NVDA and MSFT shook hands. Now, it looks like MSFT is trying to get a better deal to protect Xbox's margins, and NVDA is fighting them.

My comments still stand even though its MSFT suggesting arbitration. I think MSFT is taking this approach........in order to avoid the stigma of a lawsuit........probably on the advice of counsel, Gate's father. From what I've heard, this whole thing is pretty typical SOP for MSFT. What's different this time is that the vendor[NVDA] is unwilling to go along with the game.
