I started investing in 1994 with a purchase of Intel. I had started a computer business age 18 in 1991 and the Intel investment was a "no brainer" from what I saw ahead for the industry. I didn't know of any UK stock with similar prospects.

Since then, ease of finding info, making trades over the internet etc has favoured remaining in the US markets. Having to pay no taxes is an added bonus if course <g>
