It is true. At least we agree that it is a lousy strategy. An example that leads me to believe it is true is the current crying and wailing about Bush's past dealings with Harken. The dems (including the libs on this thread) said that Bush would not do anything about the scandal. He has, and continues to do so. Instead of HELPING the PRESIDENT clean up this mess, they attack him instead on a 10 year old issue that has already been resolved. They fear it will get cleaned up (which would HELP America) so they try to hurt his popularity and pull the rug out from under him. How do you explain that? To me it looks like rich4eagle's strategy of reading an article posted by Cummings and instead of commenting with his agreement or disagreement on the article, he calls him a racist. If you come back and say Bush isn't doing anything (which I suspect you will), please be specific as to why he can't.
