when i was a kid my grandmother use to tell me that any medicine was good for you, as long as it tasted bad enough to be believed in. took a long time for me to realize that she was talking about more than castor oil. this is about a lot more than corroded arteries, and coated stents. we're facing an era of 1929-1945-style deflation. where prices fall, people stop spending, and both borrower and lender go bust. that's what JNJ, and the rest of the markets are telling us, i think. it's a medicine for past excesses. we've all mistaken asthma for passion, for too long.
