The symmetry from the bubble bursting to now is encouraging: --Everyone loved stocks, now they all hate their portfolio and their broker if they still have one --Valuation went to extreme highs - now companies with solid earnings can't get a PE over 10 --Financial industry ballooned; now they are shedding jobs (and clients) --etc., etc. To put a kind spin on a rotten month, we are following the right steps for a bottom. Of course, having said that, I am guilty of being too bullish and not capitulating, so the recovery is off. ;<)
