why not tony? He's currently not being released because they think he is a flight risk. The others didn't have their assets seized so they could afford bail yet tony isn't allowed the same opportunity.

Anyone who generalizes across thousands of other cases isn't interested in truth, just grinding a particular axe. Many others have assets seized if there is probably cause to believe they were derived from a criminal activity or enterprise, just ask any defense lawyer who specializes in drug cases and wants to get paid.

First you say Tony is a flight risk then you whine that he can't afford bail. Which is it, risk or cost?

Most defendants who are denied bail CAN afford it, that's what a bail bondsmen does 7 days a week. They are DENIED bail because they are too dangerous or dishonest for a court to trust them to show up.

Courts are especially wary of ex-convicts (i.e. proven criminals), those who violate probation, those who funnel assets overseas to odd places like Lebanon and those who won't provide full financial disclosure when they are accused of a crime involving lots of money.

If you are going to sit here all day and bang your drum for your hero, at least get the issues straight.
