You're absolutely right, the entire foundation of this market was set during the Clinton administration. The insane screaming about deficits created deflation which is sometimes impossible to remove once it has started. Greenspan gets some blame for the deflation too, and the Congress, which live in ignorance about economics and couldn't bring itself to loosen the liberal grip on capital growth in this country. At least on the plus side: The Carville/Begala/Greenberg propaganda machine can't pin the economy on Bush because they destroyed their effectiveness defending Clinton. There is an excellent chance this time that the American left will be chased away for good, and recovery can begin...
