Hi DJ, <<TnT>> quiet, please, the place is a secret, not to be announced to the riff raff, but to be treasured amongst those of this thread. I actually only wanted to pick from either Thailand or Trinidad (both start with T) for my list of Argentina to Zimbabwe. Between the two T's, I believe Thailand is better for retirement, because (a) it is cheaper, (b) bigger and more varied, (c) the living is easier (better food, better household domestic helpers at lower cost), and (d) most important of all, its currency WILL drop against one's nest egg, whereas TnT Dollars may rise or drop.

To me, home is where my family and friends are. I have a group of pals who can only be described as 'permanent expatriates', and we do not have hometowns and such mental baggage to act as a magnet. We only need to travel as a group, eventually, ending up playing computer games after taking the third swim of the day.

BTW, FYI, Marc Faber Alert:

I am going along for a ride on one of his many picks: Zimbabwe Platinum, but will beg off on the Russian real estate. I am keeping Gazprom in scope.
