My son has a 15 week old lab/chow mix and her tongue is indeed turning black. Neatest dog I've known and seen in a long time. She is very protective yet playful. Aggressive like the chow, but the nose and instincts of the lab. She has a brother that I am seriously considering taking. If he is anything like her, I'll take him in a minute.
