Sorry if my facts contradicted your position. It's up to each one of us to choose whether we want to be fooled by government accounting gimmicks. The fact is when you factor in IOU's to Social Security recipients, we haven't been running a surplus.

Here's another fact. Gramm/Rudman took effect in 1986. So, not only was half your post factually incorrect regarding the Reagan revenue question, but practically the entire post was.
