I'd like to get numbers on how much taxes tech corporations really were paying in 98-00 anyway. Individuals were paying taxes on capital gains that have gone away, sure but the comm sector star companies had no earnings. I'm sure the federal tax roles take a major hit from this recession but the tech corporate earnings that everyone is worried about might not be the calamity everyone thinks.

Having said that, California is toast. Burnt toast, even. And housing is going to come down in N Ca, already started so there goes your RE taxes.
